How Much Do Dentures Cost?

At Lower Columbia Oral Health, we work hard to provide top-notch dentistry at competitive and affordable prices. Be sure to discuss all your options with our team during your consultation. For your convenience, we accept insurance and offer flexible financing options.

How Do Denture Work?

Many people live with partial or complete tooth loss due to age, infection, injury, or disease. If you have experienced tooth loss, your Longview dentists can restore your smile. Dentures are removable prosthetic devices used to replace multiple missing teeth. They are worn over the gums of the upper and/or lower jaws to restore the function of a full set of teeth. Dentures allow you to speak, eat, and chew normally.

At Lower Columbia Oral Health, we make our dentures from natural-looking acrylic bases that blend into the rest of your gums. The bases support a full or partial set of artificial teeth. Your artificial teeth can be shaded to your preference or to match your remaining teeth. Depending on the extent of your tooth loss, our office offers two types of dentures: full dentures and partial dentures.

What Is the Difference Between Partial Dentures and Traditional Dentures?

If you have suffered the complete loss of your natural teeth, our dentists recommend full dentures. A set of full dentures consists of an upper and lower denture, which are worn over the gums of the upper and lower jaws. In cases of partial tooth loss, we recommend partial dentures. A partial denture consists of one or more artificial teeth on a base that is attached to a light-weight metal framework. The metal framework uses the surrounding teeth as an anchor to fill the gaps left by your missing teeth.

How Do I Care for My Dentures?

You can remove your dentures at night and for daily care. Rinse your dentures with cool or warm water and use a denture brush to clean away food debris and plaque. Be sure to soak your dentures overnight in water or a denture cleaning solution to keep them moist and retain their shape. For a more comfortable and secure fit, you may use denture adhesives, such as strips or pastes.

What Are Fixed Dentures?

If you are looking for a permanent tooth loss solution, we offer fixed dentures. Also known as implant-supported dentures, fixed dentures use a series of implants. The implants are surgically placed in your jaw to permanently anchor the denture to your jawbone. Fixed dentures replace your natural teeth in look, feel, and function. You can care for your fixed dentures just like natural teeth by brushing twice daily.

What Is Denture Stabilization?

If you already have dentures, our dentists may recommend denture stabilization. Our team can retrofit your existing dentures with special attachments. These attachments allow us to anchor your denture to a series of dental implants placed in your jaw. Denture stabilization offers increased biting strength and more confidence when eating and speaking. You can still easily remove your dentures at home to cleaning and other care.
